We are into Week 3 of the One Room Challenge where we are turning our guest room into a nursery for our baby girl due in January!
Ordering The Nursery Furniture
Before we started this Nursery adventure, I had already planned on this week being a bit of an easy one, because we snuck in a little babymoon in Los Angeles! We relaxed, saw some sites, and ate very well! PS: lunch at Élephante in Santa Monica was a favorite!

Now, back to the Nursery ORC! Knowing that we were going to be out of town this week, we planned to spend this week placing orders. This way, we could be sure that nothing arrived while we were out of town!
Last week we outlined exactly what we want each piece to do for us, which was a great exercise to take us into this week of ordering. Knowing what I wanted to prioritize and invest in was key. On top of that, Target happened to have a little sale this week, so we were sure to take advantage of that. My plan keeps evolving, which is great! Each week I’m zeroing in more and more on what this little nursery is going to be.

Wall Moulding
I’ve begun sketching out what sort of wall moulding I might add to this nursery. I did some rough mocks to help me envision three ideas. After the nursery furniture orders come in and are set up in the room, I’ll use painter’s tape to see what sort of moulding works best.

Closet Progress
Finally, I successfully took out the wire shelving in the closet this weekend, which was pretty easy! This coming week I’ll patch the holes and begin the closet plan in earnest so that we maximize the space in here. I’m interested to see if the dresser will possibly fit in here, so that will help the decisions fall into place!
